18k Gold Vermeil

Vermeil (pronounced ver-may) is the most premium gold plating technique. Each piece begins with a base of 925 sterling silver and is finished with a thick layer of 18k gold. Our 18k gold colour – whether vermeil or 18k gold plate – is chosen with intention and reflects the colour of a warm, pairs-with-everything tone.

To be classified as true vermeil, jewellery must be plated with at least 2.5 microns of gold — creating a finish that is more durable and longer-lasting than standard plating, making it ideal for everyday wear.

I bought one of these and engraved my children’s names over 6 and a half years ago, I have worn it every day, showers,oceans, pools. EVERYWHERE! I never take it off. It has lasted so well. I have just ordered a replacement only because I have since had another child whom I’ve included in the new engraving. I absolutely love this piece. Such great value. Thank you. It’s very special to me ♥️

This is the 2nd time I have purchased the True North Coin necklace in gold vermeil). I love that you can have a small personalisation engraved on the back of the coin. It's such a lovely way to communicate to your special person. The quality is wonderful & both my loved ones/recipients have loved the style and elegance of the piece.
